Description	In many heating processes a large proportion of the energy supplied in the fuel is lost in the hot flue gases. One method of recivering some of this heat is by preheating the combustion air and this is usually carried out in a regenerator or an external recuper. Self-recuperative burners in which the heat exchanger is integral with the burner overcome many of the disadvantages associated with more conventional methods of air preheating
