Description	This company was established in 1825 as the Ashton-under-Lyne Gas and Waterworks Company and was reincorporated as the Ashton Gas Co in 1847. The works were at Oldham Rd, Ashton and were extended in 1925. In 1949 it became part of the North Cheshire Group within the NWGB This is small collection of five items including a minute book, one sheet of accounts and a service agreement for an employee. [1845 - 1936]
