Description	Formed in 1872 by Memorandum and Articlesof Association, the Fleetwood Gas Co Ltd established a works on Cop Lane and Styan Street. Its area of supply included Fleetwood and parts of Poulton-le-Fylde. In 1912 it was reincorporated as the Fleetwood Gas Co by Act of Parliament and extended its area of supply. In 1949 it vested in the Fylde Group of the NWGB. There are administrative, financial, property, legal and technical records in this collection. Items include site plans, insurance records, mains distribution books and share records. [1872 - 1949]
