Description	Formed in 1867 the undertaking had its works in Dilworth. An Act of Parliament in 1879 extended its area of supply to Alston and Whittingham. This company was eventually supplied in bulk by Preston Gas Co. In 1949 it became part of the Preston Group of the NWGB.
