Title	ULVERSTON URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL
Description	Formed by Deed of Settlement in 1833 the Ulverston Gaslight and Coke Co established works at Elfair in Ulverston. The company was incorporated as the Ulverston Gas Co by Act of Parliament in 1864 when its area of supply was extended. In 1874 the Local Board purchased the undertaking and additional Acts of 1885 and 1895 enabled the works to be extended and the supply area. In 1949 the undertaking became part of the Furness Group of the NWGB There is only one item in this collection: a technical drawing of a gasholder.
